Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Below we collect frequently asked questions or experiences we ourselves have had while using the sets and how to resolve them.

Wireless earbuds / ear buts2025-01-31T11:11:37+01:00

The EJEAS V4 also supports wireless headphones, earbuds or earbuts and the like.

A multitude of simple budget to high-quality wireless headphones, earbuds, earbuds and the like are available on the market.
Or perhaps you have owned your own headphones or earbuds for a long time and want to pair them with the EJEAS.

Good news: Yes, you can.
Provided it supports one of the two Bluetooth 3.1 protocols: HFP-AG or HFP-HF. See the specifications of your device.

Of course, the wireless headphones, ear set or earbuts must be equipped with a microphone.
Should this not be the case, you can always use the microphone of the earpiece that comes standard with a set (i.e. without the tube).

Note: So we cannot guarantee that it will work for every wireless headphone or ear set.
But we have tested quite a few ourselves by now and also received positive confirmations from other customers about it.

Can I pair a hearing aid with an EJEAS2025-01-31T11:11:55+01:00

Yes, you can.

The V4 model supports pairing of a wireless (bluetooth) external headset, ear buds or hearing aid.
The V4 unit can establish two types of pairing: based on the HFP-AG or the HFP-HF protocol.
Check the specifications of your headset or hearing aid whether it uses one of these two protocols.

Note: The wired connection to the V4 unit is not disabled. So you can use both the wireless headset/hearing aid and also the regular headset side by side. Useful if you want to use an extra microphone on your shirt, for example.

Can you pair a V6 with a V42025-01-31T11:12:39+01:00

Yes absolutely. There are several models of the V6, including the V6, the V6 PRO, the V6 PRO+. Especially the last 2 can be coupled very easily with the V4 PLUS; the first model can do the same but is a bit more difficult. See manual V4PRO Since the introduction of the PRO models, EJEAS makes sure that existing and new models can pair well with each other. We have personally tested out pairings between the V6, V6PRO, V6+, V4PRO, V7, MS8, MS20 in different configurations.
This allows restrictions of certain models to be removed. For example, a V6 can pair with a maximum of 1 other V6.
With 2 V6s paired with 2 V4s, as many as 4 people can now listen and speak simultaneously.

Is it possible to couple a third V6 unit2025-01-31T11:13:22+01:00

No, that is not possible.

It is not possible to link three or more v6 units together such that they can all listen and talk simultaneously.
Up to 5 units can be linked to 1 central unit, but then manual switching from the central unit with up to one other unit each time is required.

There once existed (about 8 years ago) a special V6 unit in the color red that allows as many as 3 units to listen and speak simultaneously, but it is long gone.

Solution is the V4PRO which allows up to 4 units to be paired and all four listen and speak simultaneously.
At least 1 V4 PRO is then required. So for a 2 referees and 1 coach, supervisor or evaluator, the following solutions are possible:
– 1 V4 + 2 V6
– 2 V4 + 1 V6
– 3 V4s

Solutions for 4 people: for example, 2 referees, 1 coach and 1 media reporter:
2 V4 + 2 V6
3 V4 + 1 V6
4 V4

So the V6s certainly don’t throw away. They are and remain compatible with the newer models of EJEAS.

During the match, the connection drops out2025-01-31T11:13:21+01:00

This can have several causes, but the most common is:

While moving, one of the buttons (b, c, d or e) was touched.
– Briefly pressing the MOTOR button restores the connection.
– If this does not work, restarting (turning off and on again) the units can also restore the connection.

Other causes:
– Battery is empty: Recharge unit.
– Plug to headset is disconnected: plug back in

One of my sets keeps loading2025-01-31T11:13:19+01:00

It rarely happens, but still: When charging sets, one of the sets keeps on charging even after several hours (the red led keeps on).
Solution:
– Unplug this unit for about 10 minutes and then plug it in again.
– This restarts the charging procedure (the red led lights up again). This restarts the charging procedure (the red LED lights up again).
– Set again measures whether or not the battery is full and restarts charging (red LED stays on).
– After the set is fully charged, the red LED turns off again.

I can’t get my sets linked2025-01-31T11:13:20+01:00

There are several versions of the EJEAS V6 PRO in circulation. There is nothing to tell which version you have.
The only difference I have been able to discover myself is that the “ENGINE” – button is beige-like on one version and bright white on the other.

With the “Beige” version, there is an additional “initiation” step built into the pairing procedure (see manual). Once both units flash the LEDs rapidly red & blue that you yourself first press the MOTOR button briefly on one of the units to actually start the pairing. Once both units flash the blue LEDs in sync, the pairing can be confirmed by briefly pressing the MOTOR button on one of the units.

With the “White” version, you can skip this “initiation” step during the pairing procedure, just wait for the blue LEDs to flash synchronously and then confirm this with a short press of the ENGINE button.
