Choice Advice

On this page we have elaborated some advice that we frequently encounter in practice and may be applicable to your situation. Many referees already have their own unit or a complete set of two units (EJEAS V6 or V4). Several extensions to this are detailed below. Even if you are starting “with a clean slate,” I’m sure one of the elaborated components will apply to your situation.

Small team: 2 people

Many referees now (sometimes for years) have their own single unit or a set of two of the EJEAS V6. However, a V6 set is NOT expandable to more persons with a third or fourth V6. Therefore, adding an instructor, supervisor, coach is NOT possible, even if it is just to listen in. However, by adding a V4 unit to the V6 set, this can be done. See the options below.

For referees:

This is a choice for reliability and budget – Complete set for two, including air-tube in-ear earphones – Bluetooth technology: For indoor and outdoor use up to about 1500 meters – No interference from cell phone masts or high voltage wires – Suitable for many sports: Field hockey, rugby, volleyball, soccer, etc. – No connection options for wireless earphones or hearing aids – Only expandable to more persons in combination with a V4 Best price-quality ratio compared to other systems

For coaches, evaluators, officials:

In an increasing number of cases, referees (novice to experienced) already have their own set (EJEAS V6 or V4) or a set from the association. From your role, you have a direct relationship with the referees in question. For example, you want to instruct them or give them tips during the match with a headset. Because you are guiding several referees, it is convenient (and for hygienic reasons) to have your own set. Choose an EJEAS V4 with a headset with microphone.

From your role you have a direct relationship with the referee in question but more official in nature. You want to be able to listen in on the communication between the referees, but without being able or willing to interrupt. Referees increasingly have their own set or a set from the association (EJEAS V6 or V4). Choose an EJEAS V4 (separately or as a set) with a headset whose microphone is missing or can be put on mute. The EJEAS V4 easily connects with either a V6 or a V4 is therefore a safe choice.

These persons have no direct relationship with the referees in question, but do want to listen in from a different interest. The possibility of interrupting or talking along is absolutely out of the question. In more and more cases, the referees on the field or floor already have their own set or a set from the association (EJEAS V6 or V4). Choose a (separate or as a set) EJEAS V4 with a microphone-free headset.

Medium team: 2 to 4 people
